Australia’s cultural climate


Australia is internationally recognized as a secure and comfortable place to live with a similar cost of living to the US. In 2004, the cities of Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney all rated in the top 10 of the Most Livable Cities in the World, according to the annual international poll conducted by the respected Economist Intelligence Unit. Australians are friendly and open, and they welcome people from all cultures.

The Australian way of life is safe and easy-going, and it has not been significantly affected by international events of the past few years.
